This is my portrait for Karin Jurick's portrait swap challenge Different Strokes for Different Folks. We were paired with other artists to paint each other's portrait from a photo. Check out Karin's blog to view all of the "challenge" paintings.

  1. Carol! So glad you surfaced...you did a good job on me. Wish I had taken a bit more time with the source photo so you'd have had a better chance. BUT, I was almost losing the deadline...in the middle of moving, and just did a quickie!

    Your photo was great to work from, the light great...and the red sweater and green tree made for great contrast!

  14. Hi Carol- I really like the pairing of you and Vicki on this portrait challenge- outstanding! It has been wonderful discovering so many other "Design Birds" through the blog-sphere. Regarding using larger brushes...I would say, you know what you're doing :>) Stay warm & happy painting to you!
