Winter, Garden Shed

"Winter Garden Shed"
oil on canvas
6x8

Signs of spring are here! The snow started melting the next day so I had to finish my snow scene in the studio from a photo. I had trouble photographing the painting because of so much white in it. This was the best I could do. I will try posting a better photo when I figure out my new camera.

  2. I think it is so challenging to paint snow. You captured it's heavy and frigid quality here very nicely Carol! Brrr...

  5. This turned out great, nice and loose, and fresh! The dried flowers in the flower box look great, good thing you didn't clean them out last fall!

  12. Hi Carrie,
Thanks, I meant to pull those flowers out last fall but when I was painting them I thought even dead flowers can look beautiful when the light is hitting them just right.

  17. Thank you Bill, I'm sorry to disappoint you but I had to finish it from a photo because most the snow melted the next day. We just had another snow fall so maybe I can do another snow scene before spring.

  19. Dewberry - Thanks for checking my blog. Snow is all I see almost 6 months out of the year. I have a new appreciation of it though now that I'm painting it.
